Where is your store located and what are your hours?

We are located behind Pizza Hut and Jimmy Johns on Bluff street next to Croshaw Pies.

Store hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm and Saturday 10am - 2pm
 

Are you MyComputerDealer?

We are NOT My Computer Dealer. They closed their doors for unknown reasons. Unfortunately they did leave a lot of people in the wind. The "lifetime" warranty that they offered is now of course null and void. While we will not honor their warranty, we will give a discount on parts and labor for any repairs needed on one of their computers.
 

Well, who the heck are you then?

When MyComputerDealer opened in 1997, David Thompson was hired on as Manager and technician. He ran the store for 3+ years before departing just before the sale of the store to the most recent owner. David continued a close relationship with the store and when they decided to close their business, he new it was time to open the doors to his own shop as Oranje Computers and do right by the people of St. George.

 

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, and of course cash.



What's the deal with the whole Windows XP and Vista Keys?

If you buy a computer from Oranje Computers and are charged for Windows XP or Vista, you will receive a valid serial number in the form of a COA sticker on the side of your computer. If you lease or rent a computer from us, you will receive your sticker at the end of your payment term. If you buy a used computer from us, you will not receive a COA sticker unless it came with one.

 

What is your warranty policy

Oranje Computers offers A ONE YEAR In-Store Warranty on all components located within the computer tower. Extended warranties are available for an additional cost. This warranty is valid for defective products only and does not cover software or normal wear and tear including: Power Supply fans, CPU fans, Motherboard fans, Video Card fans, and failure of any component due to lack of cleaning and maintenance of your computer system. The Customer Is Required To Bring The Computer Tower Into The Store For Repair. Please expect a 2-3 workday (Mon-Fri) turn around for all repairs. Your computer also must be brought in once every six months from the date of purchase for a FREE SAME DAY maintenance cleaning and checkup for your warranty to be valid. Pickup and delivery service are available for $25. This warranty is not valid on used or leased computers.



Are Viruses and Spyware covered under your warranty?

Computer viruses, spyware, and spam are not covered under warranty. Virus and spyware are a direct attack on your software and have nothing to do with computer system and its components. Oranje Computers suggests that you purchase an Anti-Virus program to protect you from these attacks. Virus and spyware removal is available in store at the rate of $65 per repair. If the virus is not able to be removed from your operating system, Oranje Computers will backup your data and install Windows for $99 total.

 

Are there any other things I should know about your warranty?

Surge protectors are required to be purchased from Oranje Computers for $19 in order for your Warranty to be valid. Surge protectors are not the same as cheap power strips. These are not adequate and these could result in hardware damage.

 

Can you backup my data from my old computer?

Data Backup Service is available for $35. When Oranje Computers backs up your data from your old computer system, we will place a folder on your desktop called "Old Data". This folder is the equivalent of your old hard drive from your old computer. Please understand that Oranje Computers cannot transfer programs from your old computer. We can only reinstall programs and import your data for $5 each program.
